Ruben Castellanos is an expert instructor for Safety Research Consultants, Inc., (SRC) who started his career in law enforcement in 2000. He worked as a police officer with the Los Angeles County Police and as a criminal investigator for Los Angeles County.

He uses his hands-on training and accident prevention techniques from the emergency vehicle operation course in his instruction for SRC. “My goal is to increase the number of safe drivers,” he said. “If I can bring someone home safely, I have done my job.”

He tells his own family: “Always keep a safe distance to allow you to improvise.”

Castellanos holds a master’s degree in counseling and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
