Ken Adams is an expert instructor for Safety Research Consultants, Inc., (SRC) who started his career in law enforcement in 1984. He worked as a patrol officer, crime scene investigator, field training officer, motorcycle officer, driving under the influence enforcement, commercial vehicle enforcement and as a traffic investigator with the Orange Police Department in Southern California.

As the lead investigator in over 20 fatal traffic collisions, Adams said each one was a tragedy for the surviving family members and so he worked to bring closure to survivors and file charges when warranted with local prosecutors in each investigation.

“In the split second when something bad occurs, we will revert back to our training,” Adams said. “Most of what we talk about we have heard before. If we refresh our training it will be there when we need it.”

He tells his own family: “When driving a motor vehicle, pedestrians are your worst enemy.”

Adams holds a bachelor’s degree in workforce education and development.
