Alan Gonzalez is an expert instructor for Safety Research Consultants, Inc., (SRC) who started his career in law enforcement in 2004. He works as a detective with the Santa Ana Police Department in Southern California, serving in the graffiti, burglary and child abuse divisions and as an emergency and safety instructor. He said he finds the most satisfaction in his job “every time I hear a life was saved as a direct result of the tactical emergency casualty care class I teach.”

“Safety training reminds us how delicate the balance between life and death can be if we choose disregard it,” Gonzalez said.

He tells his own family: “Always be aware of your surroundings, and get the big picture.”

Gonzalez is certified as a Red Cross CPR and first aid instructor.
